Disable Form Deletion from the Inbox

Overview

Configure a specific transaction to control the delete option for forms in the inbox. This prevents users from accidentally deleting forms or deleting them on purpose. The configuration for this will begin in the designer, but will be tested in the inbox. Please ensure you have access to both environments before proceeding.

Steps to disable "delete" option

Step-by-step
  1. Create a new transaction within your workflow and name it something distinguishable.

In my example I named it "no delete", and I activated it on the created status.

  2. Next ensure that the transaction is NOT enabled.

Select the enabled condition > false

  3. Navigate back to your form and select the form details,"gear icon",on the left hand side. You will be connecting your disabled transaction you just created with the "delete" functionality.

form details "gear icon"> delete transition name > Insert the transition name you just created. In my case its "no delete".

  4. Save your form

Inbox Verification

Step-by-step
  1. Navigate to your Mirata inbox to create the new form you just saved.

Click "create form" > form title

  2. Upon opening the form you should see that the "delete" option is no longer visible at the top of the form. There is now only "save" and "print or download".

Attempt to delete a form from the inbox. If the 'no delete' transaction is correctly linked, the delete option will not be present, confirming the feature is disabled. There should only be the "save" option and "print or download" option available, if done correctly.
