Restrict Creating Forms by Form Type

Overview

This article will review how to restrict certain forms from being created in the inbox based on the form type.

By default, for new form types, inbox create rights are allowed.

Based on your business process and the form's intended use, you might want to not allow creating from inbox if the forms should only be created from SAP SSAM+Forms application or the forms should only be created off of a different form.

You can also restrict the ability to create form submissions based on the user, using Role Rights and Group assignments.

How to Restrict Creating Forms

  1. Navigate to your admin tool

  2. Click on the security tab

  3. Navigate to 'form types' on the left hand side

  4. Click on the form type you wish to restrict creation from

  5. Click on the pencil Icon on the right hand side next to the form type name

  6. toggle off the 'inbox create rights' from allowed to "not allowed".

This can be the same process to ENABLE a form type to be created in the inbox. If you notice your form is not visible in the inbox, use the above instructions to navigate to the form type settings. If the form type is set to "not allowed" switch it to "allowed" and re-load your inbox.
